A series of four woodlands were created with a Countryside Stewardship native woodland planting grant: Gunhills, Partridge Strip, Severns and Springfield Wood.



In September 2017, the Estate carried out significant gorse clearance to enable planting of 2,470 trees on ex grass at Gunhills. In November, planting commenced at Severns where 781 trees went in on ex arable land.



In 2018, the estate planted 1,815 on ex arable land at the Partridge strip, and 2,220 trees at Springfield wood also ex arable.
